His Excellency, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf was sworn-in as the Executive Governor of Kano State on May 29, 2023 having scored the highest number of votes and having satisfied all necessary requirements of the law as explicitly enshrined in the 2022 Electoral Act as amended.
The State capital had witnessed the most largest political gathering ever where people came from every nooks and crannies of the country to be part of this epoch making swearing-in ceremony.
In the build up to the general election, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf had on many occasions during the campaign rallies across the state promised to consolidate on the gains that have been recorded by his Political mentor, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso bordering on free and compulsory education, medical service delivery for all, security and welfare of the teeming populace, agriculture, water supply and youth employment and empowerment programmes as part of his administration’s commitment to human capital development.
