The Majority Leader of Nigeria House of Representatives, Alhassan Ado Doguwa has been remanded following his arraignment before a chief magistrate court in Kano on Wednesday.
He was arraigned alongside one other suspect on charges bordering on unlawful possession of firearm, mischief, culpable homicide and disturbance of public peace (DPP).
The House of Reps Majority Leader, was arrested after he was accused of leading thugs who attacked and set on fire, NNPP office at Tudun Wada where two people were burnt to death on Sunday during the collation of the just concluded elections.
Alhassan was also accused of shooting to death and injuring others during the raid on the NNPP Tudun Wada Office.
Meanwhile Justice Ibrahim Mansur of No man’s land Chief Magistrate Court, Kano remanded ordered the suspects be remanded at the Goron Dutse Correctional Center after adjourning the matter to 7th of March, 2023.
