The NNPC Limited on Thursday, April 2, 2026, participated in the launch of the National Community Food Bank Trust Fund and inauguration of its Board of Trustees held at the Presidential Villa.
The initiative, driven by the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, is aimed at providing sustainable access to nutritious food for vulnerable Nigerians, while strengthening community-based nutrition systems across the country.
Representing the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited, Bashir Bayo Ojulari, the Executive Vice President, Business Services, Sophia Mbakwe, described the initiative as a shared national commitment to improving the well-being of citizens.
She noted that the programme aligns with the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) mandate, particularly in supporting initiatives that enhance livelihoods and promote social stability.
The event underscores growing collaboration between government and corporate institutions in addressing food insecurity and improving the quality of life for Nigerians.
