Muhammadu Sanusi Lamido who was dethroned from the Emir of Kano’s throne and banished from the state has been returned to his throne.
The much anticipated move became a reality today after Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf reappointed Sanusi II as the 26th emir of the state.
Recalled that, Blazon News Nigeria earlier reported the removal of all the five Emirs of the state from office and the abolishment of the new four additional emirate councils created by former governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje by the state Assembly.
The Governor has also issued the the deposed Kings 48 hours to vacate office while the reappointed Emir is expected back to Kano tomorrow, Friday.
Kano once again has returned to its ancient practice of only one first class King.
