The Kano/Jigawa Area Command of the Nigeria Customs has been commended over its outstanding performance.
The newly appointed Zonal Director of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), CE Ibrahim Shagali fsi made the commendation during a familiarisation visit to the Command’s Headquarters in Kano.
He applauded the Customs Area Controller (CAC), Compt. Dauda Ibrahim Chana for the command’s impressive revenue collection of 52 billion naira, representing a 273% increase compared to the previous year’s record.
Shagali praised the cordial working relationship and collaboration between both organizations and acknowledged the CAC as a “Revenue Guru” who has demonstrated exceptional initiative and commitment to adding value to both states and the nation at large.
According to the Command’s spokesperson, SC Saidu Nuruddeen, the Comptroller thanked the Zonal Director for the visit and pledged to continue the harmonious working relationship and collaboration between the two organizations.
He further shared his positive experiences working with the EFCC on special assignments earlier in his career, which have had a lasting impact on his work.
