The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited NNPCL has advised the public not to fall victims to the games of fraudsters.
The company issued the advice on Monday through the Chief Corporate Communications Officer, NNPC Ltd, Olufemi Soneye via their X (formally Twitter) official handle.
He said the public should beware of individuals and companies falsely claiming to represent NNPCL as they go about soliciting fees for meetings with the Company’s board of directors, executives and management staff.
These actions, he said, are unauthorized and illegal and as such, foreign investors and international entities are especially urged to remain cautious and if approached, they should report the incident to the appropriate authorities immediately.
Sonoye added that all legitimate engagements with NNPC Limited occur strictly through official channels or business units only.
