In a move aimed at reviving the agricultural sector and tackling unemployment head-on, the Executive Governor of Kano State, His Excellency Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, has distributed employment letters to 1,038 successful Agriculture Related Workers.
The colourful ceremony, which took place at the Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano, on Monday witnessed the presence of top government officials, traditional leaders, and jubilant beneficiaries from across the 44 local government areas of the state.
Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Governor Yusuf declared:
“This administration is committed to restoring the lost glory of agriculture in Kano. Today’s employment marks another promise fulfilled — creating jobs, empowering our people, and building food security for the future.”
He emphasized that the newly engaged workers will be deployed to various agricultural agencies and other extension service units, to support modern farming practices, agro-processing, and community-based projects.
Governor Abba charged them to be committed and dedicated to their jobs and adhere strictly to rules of Civil Service, shun absentism, lateness to work and shun corruption.
He assured the state that his administration shall continue to roll out more human development initiatives for the benefit of the youths and state at large.
