The Committee set up by Kano state Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf to investigate the involvement of one of his commissioners in the ongoing case of a drug Baron has submitted its final report.
Ibrahim Ali Namadi, Commissioner for transportation came under fire after taking into bail, a notorious drug baron popularly known as Danwawu.
While submitting the report on Monday to the State Secretary General (SSG), Barr. Aminu Hussain, chairman of the committee noted that the committee carried out it’s assignment without any undue influence whatsoever.
According to him, the committee carried out extensive and thorough investigation involving not only the commissioner but other persons involved in the process of the release of the drug lord.
He further added that relevant authorities such as the DSS, NDLEA contributed to their exercise while court documents related to the case were thoroughly examined.
In his response, the SSG to the state government, Umar Faruk Ibrahim applauded the committee for completing the task within the stipulated time.
He further appreciated them for refusing to allow some persons who wanted to influence their finding to have their way.
Faruk assured the committee and the public of forwarding their findings to the governor in the coming ours.
