Kano state government said adherence to it’s earlier guidelines for Eid al – Adha has prevented outbreak of diseases in the state.
The state’s Honorable Commissioner for health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf stated this in a press statement issued by the spokesperson, Kano state ministry of health, Abubakar Nabilusi K/Na’isa on Tuesday.
Recalled that the state’s ministry of health had earlier issued safety measures to the public which included; ensuring only healthy animals were slaughtered, proper cleaning and thorough cooking of meat, safe disposal of wastes from the sacrificial animal as well as other hygienic culture, all aimed at public safety.
According to the Commissioner, the state has so far recorded no any outbreak of disease linked to sacrificial animals or food consumption during the period expressing gratitude to residents for their cooperation.
Dr. Yusuf noted that this level of cooperation further demonstrates the growing awareness and trust the public has in the government’s efforts to safeguard their health.
He reaffirmed that the Kano State Government under the leadership of His Excellency Governor Alh. Abba Kabir Yusuf remains committed to implementing measures that promote the well-being and safety of all residents.
