Kano Governor Abba Swears in new Cabinet Members, Others

The Governor of Kano state, Abba Kabir Yusuf has sworn in seven Commissioners as members of his cabinet on Monday in Kano.

The new commissioners were nominated following recent cabinet reshuffle by the governor during which some serving commissioners were relieved of their portfolios while some were reassigned.

The Governor also assigned portfolios to six new permanent secretaries and seventeen Special Advisers (4 were absent) during the swearing in ceremony presided over by the State Attorney General, Barr. Haruna Dederi.

Gov. Abba Kabir while Admonishing the individuals said, the ceremony underscores the unwavering determination to strengthen his administration.

These appointments he said, ‘was carefully made to ensure we assemble a team of capable individuals who will join us to take Kano to a greater height.

It is a delight to welcome these individuals with different hight of experiences to serve in the government with the vision to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of Kano state”.

He charged them to see their new positions as a call to serve and as such, should avail themselves to the service of the people of Kano and work deligently with the administration and ensure to abide by the promise they have made during the Oath of Office.

He further call on the Commissioners to cooperate with the members of their cabinets in order to live up to expectations keeping in mind, the spirit of team work for better delivery.

Gov. Abba Kabir thanked the people of the state for their support which has been a motivating factor towards the successes recorded so far by his administration.

He assured his administration remains committed to delivery of policies aimed at bettering the lives of the people of the state.
