The Area Controller, Nigeria Customs Service, Kano/Jigawa Area Command, Compt Dauda Ibrahim Chana has charged newly promoted officers in the command to Redouble efforts in the discharge of their duties.
Chana, while decorating the newly promoted officers numbering 65 senior officers and 8 junior officers said the promotion came inline with the Service’s Board and Management, recognition of exemplary performance of certain individuals in both examination results and dedication to service.
Hence, the deserving of promotion to their respective higher ranks totalling 73 officers in the command out of which; 67 are from the general duties (GD) category, while 6 belong to the support staff (SS) cadre.
He said, these promotions span the ranks from Superintendent to Inspector.
The Controller encouraged the officers to redouble their efforts and uphold the standards that have earned them recognition.
“Remember that with elevated rank comes increased responsibility, and I trust you will embrace these new challenges with dedication and enthusiasm”.
“I impress upon you the importance of being even more committed to your duties and prepared to shoulder additional responsibilities”.
