Kano State Government has concluded plans to introduce revers infertility techniques in some designated health facilities in the state.
This follows the return of 1001 foreign scholarship students sponsored by Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf among which include seven Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) experts.
According to the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mustapha Muhammad, the expertise is especially valuable in the north, where no hospital currently offers this technique.
He said, the students through their post graduate study on Embryology had transferred this technique from the prestigious university Symbiosis International University, India back to Kano state in Nigeria, with the intent to impart more on the staff under the Obstetrics and gynecology department.
Muhammad added that the specialists will be deployed to the Muhammadu Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital’s Obstetrics and Gynecology department to introduce tye technology (ART) which will provide relief to many struggling with infertility in the north.
He hailed the foreign scholarship program of the Kano state government under his Principal Officer, Alh. Abba Kabir Yusuf as not only a blessing to the indigene of the state alone, but the entire north.
Furthermore, Mustapha added that this and many more to come are a clear indication of the present administration towards providing qualitative healthcare delivery system to the people of the state.
