The National Alliance Movement has reaffirmed its commitment to protecting Nigeria’s values and national interest, declaring its intention to Mobilize young people and women for active participation in politics and governance.
Speaking the inauguration of it’s 186 Local Government Coordinators, North-west Geopolitical Zone in Kano on Monday, the president of the movement, Amb. Aliyu bin Abbas said the group was initially established with plans to register as a political party ahead of the 2025 political cycle, with the aim of creating a platform for youths and women to engage meaningfully in the nation’s democratic processes.

According to him, the plan was frustrated after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) denied the group its constitutional right to register as a political party.
“Despite this setback, we refused to abandon our vision. Together with young Nigerians who believe in the future of this country, we resolved to continue under the National Alliance Movement.”
The movement’s leadership described the National Alliance as a uniquely structured grassroots organisation, claiming it has coordinators across all 774 local government areas of the country.
“As it stands today, no other movement in this decade can match the grassroots reach of the National Youth Alliance Movement,” he stated. “By the grace of Allah, we are doing something historic in Nigeria.”
He noted that the movement is neither a political party nor a government organisation, stressing that it operates as a national platform focused on shaping the future of the country.
“We are not happy with the current system, but we are not a government or a pressure group. We are a national movement deeply concerned about tomorrow,” he said.
Lamenting the challenges faced by young Nigerians, he added that although youths are often described as the leaders of tomorrow, “in Nigeria, tomorrow has refused to come.”
The National Alliance Movement, he explained, is driven by young Nigerians determined to change that narrative by encouraging youths and women to take an active role in politics and governance.
“What we are doing today is history,” he said. “By the special grace of God, together we will build the new Nigeria that everyone desires.”
Also, the Chairperson Luwa Farm and Mines Ltd, Hajiya Fatima Ibrahim Gamawa charged the youths to stand firm and resist any temptation to mortgage their future by taking money or other items from politicians.
“The youths can change the situation in Nigeria but must stand strong to reject politicians’ gifts which they used to buy your votes.
You can do it and we believe in you and are encouraging you to come out in mass next year to make it right”, she added.
