Security Chiefs in Kano State have defied Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s arrest order against the just dethroned Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero.

Governor Abba gave the order early hours of Saturday after the arrival of the dethroned Emir accusing his coming back to the state of coming to cause unrest.

Recalled that the Governor on Thursday dissolved the new four emirates created by former governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and also sack Emir Ado from his throne issuing them 48 hours to vacate office.

Mahammadu Sanusi II who was announced as the new Emir on Thursday was however issued his certificate of office yesterday, Friday and hurriedly moved into the palace midnight after strong indications that the Aminu Ado who was out of the state before he was dethroned was on his way back.

Upon his arrival, the Emir Ado moved into the Nasarawa Palace with special security forces to give him cover while Sanusi II occupies Rumfa Palace.

In what could be described as a set back to the state government, the various Security Chiefs in the state have abandoned the governor by standing together and declaring that resort to obey a court order which halted the removal of the Emirs from office on Thursday.

The Commissioner of Police did not only refused to carryout the Governor’s order to arrest the Emir, but warned that anyone or political group who causes public disturbances will be dealt with.

Also, the heads of security agencies in Kano have met with the embattled Emir for a close door meeting which is believed to assure him of his Safety and his throne.
