2 Expatriates Kidnapped as 4 Soldiers Lost their Lives in Rivers

Four soldiers belonging to the Nigerian Army lost their lives yesterday after their convoy came under attack along Ahoada/Abua end of the East-West Road in Rivers State.

Two expatriates working with Daewoo Company were also kidnapped by the attackers and there whereabouts still remains unknown.

Also, two civilian drivers in the convoy unfortunately lost their lives during the daredevil attack by the gunmen at about 9:30 am.

The 6 Division, Nigeria Army, confirmed the attack and the killing of the soldiers.

The acting Deputy Director, 6 Division Army Public Relations, Major Jonah Danjuma, in a statement on Tuesday evening said the troops were men of the 5 Battalion.
