Honorable Abdulrahaman Kawu Sumaila of the NNPP in Kano has charged the youth and women in the state and county at large not to relent at obtaining their Permanent Voters’ Cards so as to vote into office credible candidates.
Kawu, vying for the Kano South Senatorial office under the NNPP Platform, on Thursday said, the Permanent Voters’ Card, PVC remains the last tool electorates can use to bring about the desired changes needed.
According to him, the time has come for the youth and women to make a change in the affairs of leadership and governance in the country by electing people with good policies for the betterment of the country by making sure they get their PVCs which will enable them to vote.
“The youth and women in this country are at the receiving end when it comes to dividends of democracy.
If we get it right this time, their lives will be better, if we repeat our mistakes, then the problem continues.
Our women are suffering in their homes, the youth have no jobs, no future, no security, education has been crippled and lots of other issues.
They must come out to change the situation in the country by obtaining the voter’s cards and making sure they vote for the right candidates in the forthcoming elections”, he added.
He however expressed strong conviction during the sensitization event at Meena Road, Kano that the people are spurred to take back the governance looking at the unfavorable situation the country has been thrown into.
