The Police in Kano have arrested five persons including a 48 years old man Nasiru Isyaku Mohd for allegedly having anal sex with a 20year old boy, Tajuddeen Hashim, a resident of Mandawari Quarters in the ancient city of Kano State.
According to the Command’s Public Relation Officer, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the suspects were apprehended after the victim complained of stomach cramps to his aunt and revealed to her that one Ahmed Inuwa, ‘m’ 34 years old, of Sharada Quarters, Kano Municipal LGA, Kano, Nasiru Isyaku Mohd, ‘m’, 48 years old, of Diso Quarters, Gwale LGA Kano, Lawan Uba, ‘m’, 31 years old of Kofar Dan Agundi Quarters, Kano Municipal LGA, (4) Auwalu Uba, ‘m’, 40 years old, of Mandawari Quarters, Gwale LGA Kano, and (5) Rabiu Sharu, ‘m’, 33 years old, of Kabuga Quarters, Gwale LGA, Kano, deceived and lured him to various places and had anal sex with him on several occasions.
According to Kiyawa, the victim’s aunt upon the revelation reported the matter to the police who rushed the victim to Muhammadu Abdullahi Wase Hospital, Kano where he was treated and discharged.
He said, shortly after Tajuddeen was discharged the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, fsi raised and instructed a team of Policemen to arrest the culprits within 48 hours, consequently, the team immediately swung into action and arrested all the five (5) suspects mentioned on the 16/07/2021; 24 hours after the report.

Haruna further revealed that during preliminary investigations, all suspects confessed to the offence while one of the suspects Rabiu Sharu, of Kabara Quarters Kano, further confessed that he was the first person to have lured the teenager into the act.
However, “Discreet investigation is in progress and all suspects will be charged to court upon completion of investigation”, he added.
