The Kano State Drugs and Medical Consumables Supply Agency (DMCSA) has unveiled a five-day programme of activities to commemorate the third anniversary of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration.
The events, starting coming Monday are designed to highlight remarkable strides recorded in the state’s healthcare sector under his leadership.
Blazon News Nigeria reports that the week-long celebration to showcase the administration’s achievements in strengthening drug availability and improving healthcare delivery across Kano State will feature prayer sessions, lectures, awards ceremony, commissioning of a new ultra-modern facility by the Governor and Minister of health, on the 16th of July 2026 and follows by a dinner night.
The Director General of DMCSA, Pharm. Gali Sule, said the activities are designed not only to celebrate Governor Yusuf’s people-oriented leadership but also to appreciate the confidence reposed in the Agency, which has witnessed significant reforms, improved operational efficiency, and enhanced access to quality medicines since the inception of the administration.
He noted that the Governor’s commitment to healthcare has enabled the Agency to clear inherited liabilities, strengthen the medical supply chain, and ensure the consistent availability of essential medicines in public health facilities across the state, in line with the government’s vision of delivering affordable and quality healthcare to the people.
The five-day event is expected to attract government officials, healthcare stakeholders, development partners, traditional leaders, and members of the public, while reaffirming DMCSA’s commitment to sustaining the healthcare reforms championed by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for the benefit of all Kano residents.
