Accept Tribunal Verdict in Good Faith-Kano Peace Committee to Parties

Kano State Peace Committee has charged political parties in the state to accept in good faith, the outcome of the Tribunal expected to deliver its judgment on Kano gubernatorial election tomorrow.

The Co – Chair of the Committee, Most Rev. Dr. John Namaza Niyiring and the acting co-chair A.B Mahmoud (SAN) said, all parties waiting for the tribunal verdict most eschew violence or any act capable of causing disorder, before, during and after the judgment.

They further charged the people of the state as well as party supporters to play their part in ensuring the state, which is home to all regardless of political affiliation remains peaceful for positive progress.

Furthermore, the Kano Peace Committee, Head of Secretariat, Amb. Ibrahim Waiya stated that the peace witnessed so far in the state before, during and after the 2023 election is not unconnected to the role they played in bringing together various political parties for dialogue and the need for peace.

He assured that the committee will continue to engage political parties especially, the two major ones on possible ways to maintain peace in the state which he described as an essential ingredient for development of any state.
