Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf Kabir has once again taken time to criticize his predecessor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje over huge debt left behind.
Abba said it was alarming how the previous administration wrecked the state treasury and left behind a whooping sum of N300 billion naira debt for his government.
Abba was speaking during a meeting with all appointed media aids at the coronation hall, government house, Kano on Sunday.
According to him, the Ganduje’s administration succeeded in looting the state’s treasury and also exposed pensioners to unnecessary sufferings due to months of unpaid pensions.
Gov Abba also described the previous administration as insensitive to the plight of the youth by supplying them hard drugs which gave birth to cases of phone snatching, thuggery and stabbing which has claimed lives.
He added that since the inception of his administration, his government has worked day and night to put things back on track which has led to drastic reduction of crimes among the youth in Kano in the last three months.
The governor, who was cheerful stated that a lot has been achieved so far and will be celebrated in the coming days to mark his 100 days in office.
He charged his media aids not to relent in supporting his government by spreading the achievements of the government and ensure they bring to his attention, issues that requires attention.
He applauded them for their sacrifices so far and assured them of his continuous support adding that his doors are always open to receive them.
Furthermore, he tasked his commissioners and other political appointees to accord them every necessary support needed to propagate the activities of his government.
