The Chairman, NNPP Kano Transition Committee, Dr. Baffa Bichi has disclosed that all is set for the inauguration and swearing in ceremony of Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf as the new Governor of Kano state.
He made the disclosure this evening at Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar mata during a press conference to intimate the public on arrangements made so far.
According to him despite delebrate refusal of the outgoing government to contribute to the inauguration preparations, the transition committee under his leadership never relented as all is set for the May 29th ceremony.
Bichi charged the public especially those coming to grace the occasion to conduct themselves in an orderly manner and obey vehichler restrictions and directives of security agencies.
He further revealed that the occasion will be a colourful one as various stages for artists have been elected for people’s entertainment within and around the stadium.
Furthermore he described the day as the beginning of a remarkable era which will usher in progress and development to the state from it’s present redundant state.
He assured that adequate security have been deployed to protect the guests and state at large during and after the ceremony urging the people to come out in their large number to witness the beautiful ceremony.
