Things took a new turn in the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf recently, all thanks to initiatives of Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya.
Since his assumption into office as the new Commissioner of Information and Internal Affairs of the the state, Comrade Waiya has dominated the airwaves with timely information about Abba’s administration.
He has brought liveliness into political discourse in Kano, reviving the spirit of the ‘government of the people’ by leveraging on mechanism of effective communication and exploring advantages of feedback system for improvement.
The lukewarm style of sharing information about the government of the day which he met has since been energized with a new vibrant one keeping the public abreast about policies, achievements and activities of his Principal Officer.
The Hon. Commissioner, has further demonstrated his prowess through confessions and testimonies of different supporters of other political parties who now appreciate and commend notable policies and human-centred developmental projects initiated by Abba Kabir.
His years of experience on the field is no doubt yielding positive results as different groups, organizations and entities are identifying with the administration of Abba Kabir Yusuf turning the Ministry into a beehive of activities.
The man, who has previously brought about changes in the society through his years of activism, is putting into good use, his office to canvas support for the successes of Governor Abba Kabir.
These, we have seen through his various engagements with key stakeholders like religious leaders, community leaders, security, business groups, traditional institutions, professional groups and many more.
The Orator, through his skillful methods of communication is believed to reach more people and even make more popular the amiable governor of the people of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf.
Like the saying goes in Hausa Language, “An ajiye kwarya a gurbin ta”, Abdullahi Waiya’s choice for the office was the right call by the governor and he is living up to expectations making us again to say, “sai san barka”.
