Barr. Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado who before his suspension was the Chairman, Kano State Public Compliant and Anti-Corruption Commission has announced his decision to join the People Democratic Party (PDP).

Rimingado was suspended as the Commission’s Boss after a long irreconcilable rifts between him and the State Government over accusations of insubordination.

Muhuyi while confirming he has dumped the ruling APC, said, he’s back to active partisan politics recalling being a politician who has held and won elections before now.

” I started active partisan politics in 2004 then in APP,  where I was appointed local government vice chairman in 2007 and later contested senator of North senatorial zone under APN but lost with the present senator who was then in ANPP to Bello Hayatu Gwarzo in 2011.

“In 2015, when a merger was called, we formed APC and eventually when election was held, the present governor appointed me to be the chairman of the anti-corruption commission which made me quit active partisan politics because of the nature of the job”.

The suspension of the Anti-Corruption Chair by

the State’s House of Assembly after an order following a recommendation from the Executive Arm of Government led to a tense political atmosphere in the State.

Before his cross-over to the opposition, it would be recalled that the ruling APC in Kano has been in turmoil leading to the emergence of the G-7 faction under Senator Ibrahim Shekarau with rumors of ongoing consultations to also abandon the party over what they also described irreconcilable differences.
