Gombe Governor reshuffles cabinet

Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe state carried out a minor cabinet reshuffle on Monday by appointing two commissioners and four special advisers.

He said the reshuffle was part of efforts to uphold his administration’s stated goals and good governance at the swearing-in of new appointees at Gombe.

He said it was also to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.

Mr. Yahaya said his appointment was equally in line with his administration’s determination and commitment to provide determined and responsive leadership to meet the wishes and aspirations of the people.

“Accordingly, the following changes are made with regard to special advisers with immediate effect: Dauda Batari is transferred from the Ministry of Education to the Ministry of Higher Education.

“ Mr. Shehu Madugu from the Ministry of Energy and Solid Minerals to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.

“Aishatu Maigari moved from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation to the Ministry of Education, while Meshak Lauco will now serve in the Ministry of Higher Education of the Ministry of Information and Culture,” he said.

The governor said that the new commissioners, Sanusi Pindiga and Andirya Moljengo, would be in charge of the Ministry of Energy and Solid Minerals and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.

He urged the newly appointed to keep pace with his administration’s achievements with sincerity of purpose, transparency, accountability, loyalty and commitment.
