Gov Abba Kabir Reunites Stolen Children with Parents

The Kano State Governor, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf has reunited seven stolen children of Bauchi State origin intercepted in Kano with their parents.

The Police command in Kano under CP. Muhammad Hussain Gumel busted the syndicate that specialises in kidnapping and trafficking children from the Northern part of the country to the South.

Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf who was shocked on the discovery of the seven children stolen away from Bauchi and sold in Anambra and Lagos states expressed shock over the syndicate’s activities.

The Governor called on parents to as a matter of responsibility, be watchful and caring for their children.

He also called on his counterpart, the Bauchi State Governor to take drastic legal action against the suspects arrested.

The Governor recalled a similar incident where 11 Kano children were allegedly stolen and sold in Anambra few years ago.

Reacting on the issue, one of the parents of the stolen children Malam Saad from Bauchi said they lack words to express appreciation to the Governor and Commissioner of Police, Kano State.

So far, nine suspects have been arrested by the Kano State Police Command in connection with the crime after they were intercepted at Mariri motor park in Kano on their way to Lagos from Bauchi State.
