Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has congratulated Musa Iliasu Kwankwaso, Commissioner for Rural and Community Development, over his turbaning as Sarkin Yaki of Karaye Emirate

“This appointment is well deserving and at the right time. We all know that, Musa Iliasu Kwankwaso is a strong fighter who fits very well into the position of Sarkin Yaki,” he said.
The Governor in a press release by his Chief Press Secretary Abba Anwar, explained that, “As Sarkin Yaki, he will definitely do well in stabilizing the Emirate for future development and survival. Especially, since all our First Class Emirates have come to stay.”
He also commended the Emirate for finding Kwankwaso worthy for the position, as somebody who is known for love for his people, doggedness, an advocate for just and peaceful society and a firm believer of traditional institution, as catalyst for social change.
After praying for the success of the new Sarkin Yaki, governor Ganduje advised Karaye Emirate to tap from the vast experience of Kwankwaso as Sarkin Yaki.
Encouraging that, “People like Musa Iliasu Kwankwaso are pillars in this Emirate. They should be seen and taken as such. He is going to be a good Ambassador of peace and tranquility in the Emirate, for an enhanced security system.”
