The Comptroller of Customs, Kano/Jigawa Area Command, Dauda Ibrahim Chana, has hailed the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC) B.A Adewale over zeal towards repositioning the Service.
He said the CG’s initiative to having a Data Driven Customs Service in the country is highly commendable considering its importance in effective review and planning for steady progress.
Chana stated this in Lagos on Thursday during this year’s CGC’s Conference with the theme; ‘Leveraging Data Analytics for Secure and Efficient Trade Facilitation in Customs Operations’.

He said, “Ensuring the Service uses Data in its day to day activities is the real way to go”.
“In this modern world, Data is the inevitable tool you can use to predict, plan and assess your achievements and set backs”.
“To succeed, you need Data to know where you are coming from, where you are and where you are going.”
“CG Adeniyi has reestablished and strengthened the need for us all to adopt modern ways of collecting and using Data for best performance and this is a take-home for me, my men and the command”.
The Comptroller revealed his command recorded the highest revenue generation in its history last month after he assumed office in September quickly went into work analysing and improving on information available (Data).
He assured that his Command will put into use, every aspect of the conference in order to make the CG’s initiative a reality while assuring the people of Kano and Jigawa of even better services.
