Kano State Civil Society Forum (KCSF) has applauded Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf over quick action against two of his political appointees who engaged in unguarded utterances on social media spaces.

In a press release jointly signed by the President, KCSF, Amb. Ibrahim Waiya and his Public Relation Officer Comrade Dr, M. K. Adam, on Friday, the swift response of the Kano State Government to the situation has saved the state from unquantified damage on the State, politically and security wise.

KCSF stated that, Alh. Abba Kabir has proved it to have a zero tolerance to indiscipline, unprofessionalism and misconduct.

That it is their ardent belief that the move would serve as a deterrent to other political appointees who have the tendencies of overheating the political atmosphere of the state.

The CSOs body call on all political leaders to always have the interest of the state at heart above their personal sentiment, and not allow their self-motivated interest to jeopardize the peace enjoyed in our State, just for the simple reason of impressing some people, and allow their actions to plunge the state into chaos.

“It is our prayer that, the Kano State Government would keep up with this trend, and shall also use this opportunity to entrench the culture to sanitize the system from the overwhelming political infidelity, immorality and indiscipline which has reduced the State to caricature and ridicule”.

Earlier, the state Commissioner of Land and Physical Planning, Alh Aliyu Adamu Kibiya and Special Adviser on Youth and Sport, Alh. Yusuf Imam (Ogan Boye) were involved in unguarded utterances against Vice President Kashim Shettima and Judges presiding over the tribunal in Kano.
