Running mate of the Kano APC gubernatorial candidate, Murtala Sule Garo has taken a swipe at the Federal Government over the deadline for the phasing out of the old 200, 500 and 1000 naira notes.
The former commissioner for local government made this known today while speaking during the APC’s campaign rally in Dambatta Local Government Area.
According to him, Nigeria is operating a democratic system of government where people’s opinions are respected, contrary to what is obtainable in a millitary regime.
Garo, warned that they will not sit down and fold the hands while Kano residents, who are mostly business men suffer the consequences of the infamous policy imposed by the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Already, many small businesses have closed shops over fear of the unknown as the CBN’s January 31st deadline approaches.
