The Governor of Kano State Abba Kabir, has on Tuesday set a motion to relieve underperforming Commissioners in his cabinet.

Recall that that a six months probation  was issued sometime June, 2023 where the Governor charged the commissioners to contribute meaningfully to administration and state at large or be removed.

To this end, the governor directed the Secretary to the State Government ( SSG) to issue evaluation template to his Commissioners who are expected to fill and submits within the next ten days which will determine the retention of performing Commissioners and relieving of those who underperformed from the state executive council.

According to the Director General to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Sanusi Bature, the directive was based on a policy of Abba’s administration made known at the swearing-in of the Commissioners to evaluate their performance after every six months to ensure quality service delivery.

The announcement was made today during the 12th state Council Meeting.
