Protesters largely believed to be hoodlums on Saturday defied the 24hours Curfew imposed in Kano State by taking to the streets.

The protesters who came out to continue the end bad governance protest were reported to have clashed with Security personnel deployed across the state to restore order and ensure compliance with the Curfew.

It would be recalled that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf had announced the Dawn to Dusk Curfew on Thursday after some end bad governance protesters went on rampage, looting, stealing and destroying both private and government properties.

According to information from our security source, at least eight persons were killed on Saturday in different locations across the state (number of casualties could be more).

Areas affected were Mandawari, Sabon titi Panshekara road, Kurna, Bachirawa, Rijiyar Lemo, Kofar Nasarawa, Unguwa Uku Zaria road and Sabon titi around Tal,udu.

However, residents continue to move around despite the restriction of movement which some have described a total “disregard” for law and order in the state.
