Wild jubilation broke out in Kano shortly after the declaration of Abba Yusuf Kabir of NNPP as the elected governor of the state in the Saturday elections.

Youths, women and children took to the streets to celebrate Abba’s victory despite the 24Hours curfew imposed on the state to forestall the breakdown of law and order that might arise from the development.
