Abba Kabir Blast Ganduje over Huge Debt, Absence at Inauguration

The Executive Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf has blasted the immediate past governor of the state, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for handing over huge debt and deliberate refusal to attend the handing over ceremony and a  scanty handing over note.

The governor describe Ganduje’s absence a departure from established democratic culture and tradition in the state.

“I am very suprized at the departure of Ganduje from the state before this ceremony.”

The outgoing governor is supposed to be here to officially hand over to me the elected governor of the state who was elected in a free and credible election.”

” Remember Engr. Kwankwaso handed over in person to Shekarau in 2003 and the tradition continued untill now when Ganduje decided to change the protocol”.

” We are also disappointed at the scanty hand over report presented to us, it is not enough for us but we must forge ahead to deliver on the mandate of the people”.

Further more, the Governor blasted the Ganduje’s administration for handing over with outstanding liabilities of up to N241billion and loan profile of N75.6 billion, out of which N9.2 billion was for the State, while the 44 Local Government Areas have N66.3 billion, making a total debt of N316.9bn.

“I ask Allah to reward Ganduje according what he did,” the incoming Governor added.

Meanwhile, the newly elected governor was sworn in at a grand ceremony graced my mammoth crowd at Sani Abacha Satdium, Kofar Mata.

The Acting Chief Judge of the state, Dije Abdu Aboki administered the oat of office on governor Abba Kabir.
