ADP Suspends Kano Acting Chairman, Secretary

The Action Democratic Party has suspended the Acting Chairman of the party in Kano, Engineer Bashir Yahaya Karaye, together with his Secretary Balarabe Danfulani, with immediate effect.

The suspension was contained in a letter issued to journalists and signed by the party’s National Secretary, Victor Fingesi, in Abuja.

The suspension letter affirmed that the suspension of Engineer Bashir Yahaya Karaye and the secretary Balarabe Danfulani was a result of anti-party activities being perpetrated by the suspended Acting Chairman and his secretary.

In a statement issued to newsmen by ADP Gubernatorial Campaign Council Spokesperson Abbas Yushau Yusuf, the party said it had directed the suspended Acting Chairman and his secretary to hand over all the possessions of the party to the State Deputy Chairman, Sheikh Ibrahim Isa Abdullahi Makwarari, immediately.

Part of the statement reads:

“Recall the query issued to you on February 8, 2023, following the discovery that you, along with your Secretary, have been proved to be actively involved in anti-party activities, upon which you were given 24 hours to respond pursuant to Article 52:2 (a-j) of the Constitution of the Party.”

Your non-response since 10th of February,2023 amounts to recalcitrant behaviour and gross insubordination to the leadership of the Party.

Consequent upon the above and in line with the constitutional provisions of the Party, You, Bashir Yahaya Karaye(Ag. Chairman),and Balarabe Danfulani (Secretary) are hereby SUSPENDED from the Party until further notice.
