Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, alongside the Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajuddeen Abbas, has commissioned key constituency projects in Dala Local Government Area of Kano State, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to infrastructure expansion and basic education development.

The projects include a newly constructed road linking Yalwa through Dogon Nama to Kaigama and Madigawa, as well as six modern classroom blocks at Gwauron Dutsen Primary School, aimed at improving access to education and easing movement within the communities.

Speaking during the exercise, Governor Yusuf described the projects as part of ongoing efforts to enhance rural connectivity, stimulate economic activities, and provide a conducive learning environment for pupils across the state.

He noted that the road project would address transportation challenges, facilitate the movement of goods and services, and open up surrounding areas for socio-economic growth, adding that infrastructure development remains central to his administration’s agenda.

On his part, Speaker Abbas commended the governor for executing people-oriented projects, stressing that synergy between federal and state governments is crucial in delivering the dividends of democracy to the grassroots.

Other stakeholders, including Hon. Usman Bello Kumo and Hon. Aliyu Sani Madakin Gini, praised the quality and impact of the projects, describing them as timely interventions that will strengthen basic education and improve the living conditions of residents in the area.
