Swipha Pharma Nigeria Limited has donated anti-malaria drugs worth about N500,000 to the Kano State Drugs and Medical Consumables Supply Agency (DMCSA) as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at supporting healthcare delivery in the state.

The pharmaceutical company made the donation during a courtesy visit to the agency’s headquarters, where its representatives commended the transformation and progress recorded by the agency under the leadership of its Director General, Pharm. Gali Sule.

Receiving the donation, Pharm. Sule expressed appreciation to Swipha Pharma for the gesture, describing it as a demonstration of the company’s commitment to improving healthcare services in Kano State. He said the donation would strengthen the agency’s capital base and enhance its ability to supply essential medicines to health facilities across the state.

The Director General assured the company that the donated drugs would be utilized judiciously for the benefit of residents, while reaffirming the agency’s commitment to improving supply chain management through the provision of quality, affordable and accessible drugs and medical consumables across the 44 local government areas of Kano State.

He also highlighted the commitment of the administration of Governor to strengthening the healthcare sector and expanding access to quality healthcare services for citizens.

 

Speaking during the presentation, Swipha Pharma’s Business Development Executive, Esther John, said the donation was intended to support the agency’s ongoing reforms and consolidate the gains made in reviving DMCSA from its previously moribund condition. She noted that the gesture also reflected the company’s appreciation for the settlement of outstanding obligations and the cordial business relationship established with the agency.

John praised the agency’s management for implementing reforms that have improved drug supply chain operations in Kano State and assured the Director General of Swipha Pharma’s readiness to sustain and expand collaboration with DMCSA in support of improved healthcare service delivery.

 

The donated anti-malaria drugs are expected to complement ongoing efforts to ensure the availability of essential medicines and strengthen healthcare interventions across the state.
